Sean Hannity And Rick Santorum Cling To Discredited "Finding" Of WMD in Iraq

What a coincidence that one week after Karl Rove urged Republicans not to make excuses for going to war against Iraq and to put critical Democrats on the defensive, Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), 18 points behind in his re-election efforts, and representative Peter Hoekstra (R-MI) suddenly came up with some report that 500 chemical weapons have been found in Iraq. Almost the entire hour of Hannity & Colmes last night (6/21/06) was devoted to this “discovery” despite the fact that FOX News’ own Jim Angle had already reported that the Bush administration said the weapons were not in useable condition and were not the WMD's for which we went to war.


Here are some questions.

*Could these have been planted? They have had years to do so.

*How old are these weapons? They could be very old and useless.

*What kind of chemical weapons? Tear gas can fall under the catagory of a chemical weapon.


Wait a second... I thought we went over there to liberate. Oh wait, that's right they changed it to that after no WMD's were found.

Oh well... I wonder what Paris Hilton is doing?

N. Korea Has Already 'Mock Nuked' Alaska - With US Government Help

New reports about threat of missile launch omit key facts.

Reports today concerning the completed fueling of North Korea's long range Taepodong-2 missile and its planned launch within a month omit several key aspects of the story, including the fact that North Korea already launched a missile that hit Alaska, with the help of the US government.

In March 2003, the Korea Times reported that the U.S. National Assembly included a startling admission in its final report regarding Pyongyang’s missile capabilities.

A nuclear-capable North Korean test warhead was found in Alaska.

``According to a U.S. document, the last piece of a missile warhead fired by North Korea was found in Alaska,’’ former Japanese foreign minister Taro Nakayama was quoted as saying in the report. ``Washington, as well as Tokyo, has so far underrated Pyongyang’s missile capabilities.’’

A story that would have expected to garner front page headlines for days was completely blacked out in the US, with not one single newspaper choosing to report it.

The reason?

How could the Bush administration sell a war against a country with no means to defend itself and as it later transpired with no weapons of mass destruction, when a country with WMD was firing long-range nuclear capable missiles that were hitting the western coast of the US?

The 1994 Agreed Framework deal gave North Korea the capacity to generate enough nuclear fuel to produce almost 100 nuclear bombs per year. A 1999 congressional study undertaken by the House North Korea Advisory Group warned,

“Through the provision of two light water reactors [LWRs] under the 1994 Agreed Framework, the United States, through KEDO, will provide North Korea with the capacity to produce annually enough fissile material for nearly 100 nuclear bombs, should the Democratic People's Republic of Korea [DPRK] decide to violate the Nonproliferation Treaty [NPT].”

In April 2002 the Bush administration announced that it would release $95 million of American taxpayer’s dollars to begin construction of the ‘harmless’ light water reactors. Bush argued that arming the megalomaniac dictator Kim Jong-Il with the potential to produce a hundred nukes a year was, “vital to the national security interests of the United States.” Bush released even more money in January 2003, as reported by Bloomberg News,

“President George W. Bush is seeking $3.5 million for the international consortium that continues to build two nuclear reactors for North Korea, even as the U.S. confronts the communist regime over nuclear arms.”

The company that got the contract to deliver equipment and services to build the two light water reactor stations was ABB (Asea Brown Boveri), which describes itself as, “a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve performance while lowering environmental impact.” The contract was valued at $200 million and was signed in January 2000.

It should not surprise us that our old friend Donald Rumsfeld, the man who paved the way for U.S. companies to sell Iraq chemical and biological weapons in 1983, was an executive director for ABB from 2000-2001. Rumsfeld resigned when he was appointed U.S. Secretary of Defense. Wolfram Eberhardt, a spokesman for ABB confirmed that Rumsfeld was at nearly all the board meetings during his involvement with the company. The meetings were held quarterly in Zurich, Switzerland. However, Rumsfeld again displays his uncanny ability to forget things in stating that he ‘doesn’t remember’ the issue of North Korea being brought before the ABB board. Swiss Info concluded,

“Rumsfeld’s position at ABB could prove embarrassing for the Bush administration since while he was a director he was also active on issues of weapons proliferation, chairing the 1998 congressional Ballistic Missile Threat commission.”

North Korea is controlled by a hereditary Stalinist dictatorship that has starved two million of its citizens to death in favor of building a million-man army. Some people put the figure at four million, one-quarter of the population. In the far north of the country there is a network of forced labor gulags where people who have ‘expressed a bland political opinion’ are, along with their entire families, tortured, raped and executed. Horrific bio-chemical experiments are performed on mass numbers of people. Babies are delivered and then stamped to death by the camp guards. If the mother screams while the guards are stamping on the baby’s neck, she is immediately assassinated by a firing squad. These guards are rewarded with bonuses and promotions for ripping out prisoners’ eyeballs.

The North Korean people are enslaved by a government that is using food as a weapon. Perhaps this is why the EU and the United States, via the UN World Food Program, resumed the shipment of hundreds of thousands of tons in food aid at the end of February 2003. This goes directly to the sitting dictatorship, which then decides who gets it by their level of allegiance to the state. Food aid only increases the power of Kim Jong-Il and yet it is veiled by the UN in bleeding heart humanitarian rhetoric. The money goes straight to enabling the North Korean leadership to live in the lap of westernized luxury with casinos and lavish new cars.

President Bush publicly claims to loathe Kim Jong-Il and yet his administration, like Bill Clinton before him, has armed North Korea to the teeth with anything up to and beyond 200 nuclear bombs.

Under the 1994 Agreed Framework, the Clinton administration agreed to replace North Korea’s domestically built nuclear reactors with light water nuclear reactors. So-called government-funded ‘experts’ stated that light water reactors couldn’t be used to make bombs. Not so according to Henry Sokolski, head of the Non-proliferation Policy Education Centre in Washington,

“LWRs could be used to produce dozens of bombs' worth of weapons-grade plutonium in both North Korea and Iran. This is true of all LWRs -- a depressing fact U.S. policymakers have managed to block out.”

Sokolski has also gone on the record as saying,

“These reactors are like all reactors, they have the potential to make weapons. So you might end up supplying the worst nuclear violator with the means to acquire the very weapons we're trying to prevent it acquiring.” The U.S. State Department contends that the light water reactors cannot be used to produce bomb grade material and yet in 2002 urged Russia to end its nuclear co-operation with Iran for the reason that it doesn’t want Iran armed with weapons of mass destruction. Russia is building light water reactors in Iran. The State Department announced on its own web site,

“In the official answer to a question asked at the January 31 State Department daily briefing, the State Department said the United States has "consistently urged Russia to cease all [nuclear] cooperation with Iran, including its assistance to the light water reactor at Bushehr.”

“We have underscored to Russia that an end to Russian nuclear assistance to Iran would allow the United States and Russia to reap the full promise of our new strategic relationship, benefiting Russia economically and strategically far more than any short-term gain from construction of additional reactors or other sensitive transfers to Iran.”

According to the State Department, light water reactors in Iran can produce nuclear material but somehow the same rule doesn’t apply in North Korea.

Despite this it seems that the Iranians are beginning to learn an important lesson.

Rogue states with absolutely no means to defend themselves are picked off by the Globalists on a whim, but countries that have amassed a nuclear arsenal, with receipts from the US government to prove it, seem to become immune to the Bush administration's global democracy drive, no matter how atrocious their human rights record.

Japan to Respond Severely to a N. Korea Missile Test

Japan's Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said his government will respond with ``severe'' measures if North Korea ignores calls to abandon its reported missile test.

Koizumi and Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe urged North Korea to return to six-nation talks over its nuclear program that broke off last November. Abe said that the United Nations Security Council may impose economic sanctions should North Korea carry out the test.

``North Korea will gain nothing from a missile launch,'' Abe, the government's top spokesman, said at a regular press conference in Tokyo. ``Japan and the U.S. will cooperate in dealing with this and, if North Korea launches a missile, we will respond severely.''

North Korea may have completed fueling a long-range ballistic missile as a prelude to testing it, Reuters cited unidentified U.S. government officials as saying yesterday. Japan and the U.S. agree that a launch would be a threat to regional security and a violation of test-ban agreements, Koizumi said at press conference in Tokyo.

North Korea vowed to boost its ``military deterrent'' because of U.S. provocations, the official Korean Central News Agency said late yesterday.

Japan's Response

Abe said he spoke with U.S. National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley by telephone. Foreign Minister Taro Aso two days ago met with U.S. Ambassador to Japan Thomas Schieffer with the two agreeing that North Korea must refrain from any missile tests.

Japan is ``unlikely to immediately appeal to arms'' if a missile drops on the country, Aso said yesterday on Asahi television. Japan's response ``would be more than a protest,'' he said.

Abe today declined to comment on what actions the government might take in the event of a test launch, adding that laws are already in place to allow for sanctions and closing of ports to North Korean ships.

The U.S., South Korea, China, Japan and Russia have been trying to persuade North Korea to abandon its nuclear weapons program. Six-nation talks ended without an agreement in November, raising concerns about North Korea's commitment to a nuclear-free Korean peninsula.

Question for media: Where's the photo of Bush in a helmet and flak jacket?

A photo of White House counselor Dan Bartlett and press secretary Tony Snow in helmets and flak jackets for a helicopter ride between Baghdad International Airport and the U.S. embassy has been widely circulated on the Internet and appeared on Page Two of The Washington Post, accompanying a "Washington Sketch" column by Dana Milbank. The photo raises a question: Did President Bush wear similar protection when he was transported around Baghdad, and, if not, why not? If so, where is the photo?

Assuming that the president of the United States received at least as much protection as two high-level aides, it is understandable that the White House would not want a photograph of Bush similar to that circulated of Snow and Bartlett. First, it reminds the public of how dangerous Iraq is. Second, as Milbank put it, "the result was more Michael Dukakis than Mission Accomplished."

But why would the media agree not to take such a photograph -- or if they took it, not publish it?

Monday AOL News logged the NY Times report on the Chicago 9/11 conference as their Most Popular News Story throughout the day and over 180,000 people responded to the attached poll. (See AOL version here.)

It has now completely vanished from the Most Popular page (and every other story list on the site), despite the fact that only about 70,000 people voted in the week's Most Popular story poll. And consider the even odder fact that Google "9/11" News Alerts still do not list the NY Times story (and they also declined to run the Zogby poll press release even though PRWeb sent it to them at least three times). "What's up?"

Army Officer Refuses Deployment to Iraq

"My participation would make me party to war crimes".

An Army lieutenant based at Fort Lewis, Wash. has such grave objections to the war in Iraq that he's refusing to deploy, the soldier's lawyer said Tuesday.

First Lt. Ehren Watada submitted a letter to his command in January stating that he had serious reservations about the Iraq war and felt he could not participate in it, Watada's lawyer, Eric Seitz, said.

A couple of months later, at the Army's suggestion, Watada resubmitted his request to resign, Seitz said.

"They took their time but then they informed him in early May that they were not going to let him resign," Seitz said in a phone interview from his office in Honolulu.

Joe Hitt, a civilian spokesman at Fort Lewis, confirmed that Watada is a member of the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, the Army's first Stryker Brigade Combat Team.

The unit held a deployment ceremony Friday and will begin leaving later this month for its second mission in Iraq.

Hitt said the Army is aware of Watada's plans but had no comment.

"We have nothing to say about it because nothing has happened, and we're not going to speculate on anything," Hitt said.

Watada, a native of Honolulu, enlisted in the Army in 2003 after graduating from Hawaii Pacific University. He reported for boot camp in June of that year and began officer candidate school two months later.

Watada's commission required that he serve as an active-duty Army officer for a three-year term ending Dec. 3, 2006, Seitz said.

"By his refusal to participate in the ongoing war, Lt. Watada joins a growing number of high-ranking military officers, West Point graduates and current and former members of the armed services who have expressed their opposition to the actions of the United States in Iraq," Seitz said in a statement released Tuesday.

Watada could be court-martialed if he refuses to serve as ordered, unless the Army allows him to resign his commission or assigns him to duties that are not directly connected to the Iraq war, Seitz said.

Kevin Ryan is a former Site Manager for Environmental Health Laboratories in South Bend, Indiana, a subsidiary of Underwriters Labs(UL) responsible for water testing. He was fired after publicly challenging UL's conclusions regarding the collapse of the WTC. Ryan said that in the WTC towers case, UL was the company that certified the steel used in construction of the two towers. However the company's spokesman Paul M. Baker stated "UL does not certify structural steel, such as the beams, columns and trusses used in World Trade Center". Ryan has responded to the UL statement, noting that it directly contradicts statements made by UL's CEO, Loring Knoblauch.

A Normal Day In the Not So Far Future

This is a letter that I received from a colleague of mine awhile ago. I thought it was good so I'm posting it.

Today I went to the grocery store and quickly bought my goods by scanning my fingerprint( http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/techinnovations/2003-11-17-biometrics_x.htm), so fast and convenient. But the time I saved at the check-out lines was lost when I drove thru a checkpoint, caused due the declaration of Marshal Law to "protect" us (http://www.greaterthings.com/News/federal_police.htm) from those damn terrorists. Good thing I had my national ID card (http://www.epic.org/privacy/id_cards/) on me so I could show that I wasn't one of them. But, it turns out I was thrown in jail anyways, simply because I had some "propaganda" on me that is trying to expose the plans of those wanting a One World Order (http://www.propagandamatrix.com/260903ronpaul.html). They told me I had no right to an attorney or other rights I so recently had, these had been taken away under the Patriot Act laws (http://www.aclu.org/SafeandFree/SafeandFreemain.cfm). So here I sit in prison, good thing the vote to establish the framework for the One World Order isn't until next month.
Maybe NOW is a good time to start to do something to stop it.
